Here are the rules/ instructions to Aether mix 3 + 3i (the imaginary component is in deference to Ziggy's imaginary 3 aethermixes during the hiatus):
1. Let me know that you want to participate in this year's aethermix by commenting in this thread. (If you already sent me an email, you don't need to put a comment.) I, via mrflip, will give you a login and password to a site where you will upload files.

2. Decide on a maximum of 18 tracks or 74 minutes worth of music (which ever comes first). Please note that this effectively eliminates the two types of jackasshattery that have happened in previous years: the habcous variety, where you put together an album composed of 91 20-second long rap skits, and the nanocindy variety, where you put together a bonus album of songs trying to encourage a fellow alkalineearther to murder her spouse). I think we can agree that perhaps this year we will be better off.

3. Make some album art, and decide on a title to your masterpiece. Album art is optional, but an album title is not.

4. Upload the files by June 14th. That's right. Flag(g) day. We chose a holiday so you'd remember. And there ain't no holiday bigger than Flag(g) day.

5. Shortly thereafter, mrflip and I will do tricky things with electrons, and bundle things in a tidy fashion. We'll let you know when you will be able to download the efforts of others. (Or, we can mail you cds or dvds with the files on them.)

6. Sit back and enjoy.
