Freecycle is a non-profit organization registered in the state of Arizona, USA, and separately registered as a UK charity,[1] that organizes a worldwide network of "gifting" groups, aiming to divert reusable goods from landfills. It provides a worldwide online registry, and coordinates the creation of local groups and forums for individuals and non-profits to offer and receive free items for reuse or recycling, promoting gift economics as a motivating cultural outlook.
The Wife and I regularly offer items on Freecycle instead of just throwing them away. One person's garbage is another person's treasure. My only problem with the Heights Montrose Houston network is how it is handled through a Yahoo! Group, but that is another issue.
Today, I received the following offer...
Freecycle is how I got a bunch of supplies for fixing drywall in the house.
I just got an e-mail with another offer by the same person, a "Purple Wondering Jew".
@mflip I think the lady gave away the gorilla already. I haven't heard from her.
