Interesting -- they'll give you $107 for your NIB 30GB Zune ($97 for Good w/ box, charger, etc). Woot has been selling these for $80. Hmmm.

If anyone out there has Zuners Regret now is the time to exercise it.

Ever since they released firmware 2.1, I couldn't be happier. Such a novel idea to thank your early adopters by giving them all the features that your newest product releases have.

Two (green) thumbs up to Target

Gosh, I just wish there was somebody out there that was taking the time to purchase and resell video games.

Buy My Shitpile, Henry! "With our economy in crisis, the US Government is scrambling to rescue our banks by purchasing their "distressed assets", i.e., assets that no one else wants to buy from them. We figured that instead of protesting this plan, we'd give regular Americans the same opportunity to sell their bad assets to the government. We need your help and you need the Government's help!"

I think they mean your Zune, natedogg.

Maybe you just have recommendation wizard envy

One question I have about both -- do they rate limit? What happens if I (with or without the internet unplugged) script a 'make me a playlist' robot and do a 10 million playlist Monte Carlo simulation of a large music collection? Please find out for me and let me know.

The Zune is still plugging away, now with firmware 3.0. Continuing to use it allows me to keep the battery so fresh and so clean clean on the iPhone (and now with that iPhone 2.1 firmware the battery life is significantly longer in my experience: up to several days on a charge).

I haven't really used the Zune or Itunes recommendation softwares in any depth. As an aside, what has suddenly empowered everybody to add this is the hot new feature? Now I've got those two plus LastFM and Pandora all trying to figure out what I like to listen to. It's not like the technology is that new, is it? Wasn't Amazon doing this 10 years ago with books?

One problem I have with iTunes and Zune both is that they make my 1.8GHz/512MB P4 laptop so very sad. As a result, it's still Winamp for me.

Finally, mrflip's link to the still dead Muxtape made me giggle but also gives me a chance to mention MixTube. This is a devious little project that runs just like Muxtape but uses audio stripped from Youtube videos. I am not nearly as interested in using the site as I am interested in who will object first and on what grounds (and how it will be resolved).
