The tie-ins for the upcoming Simpsons movie are many and varied but none is probably so interesting as the few 7-11 locations that were made over to look like Apu's Kwik-E-Mart. The nearest to Austin is Dallas but there are some in other places. This photo tour made me hunger for some Buzz Cola and unnaturally pink donuts with sprinkles.
hmmm. The pics almost tempt me into a road trip!
Before you take that road trip, you should know that the 7-11 in front of Thai Noodles yadda yadda yadda House has Buzz Cola, Krusty-O's, Squishies, and pink frosted donuts (at least according to my sprinkle-dar that detected some remains in the bottom of the bin). No Kwik-E-Mart ambiance, however.
This may therefore mean that they are all carrying the goodies?
I have a bit of a thing for unnaturally pink donuts. I stopped at a 7-11 on Oltorf and I am sad to report that they did not have all the Simpsons goodies, most notably my beloved donuts. They did have Buzz cola and Squishys though but no Krusty-Os either.
I did finally get my donut at the 7-11 that Nate talked about. I was a little upset because the owner was Indian and said "thank you" but I was denied my "come again."
The Guardian thinks beckto is a racist for wanting to hear "Thank you, come again"

There was apparently a poll on Austin's Fox affiliate for the best two episodes from each season to determine which episodes they would play leading up to the movie. Results are here. (Also, it's The Crepes of Wrath, not Creeps.)
