I don't know much about how this is supposed to work, but I do know that this is a picture of their quantum processor on a dilution refrigerator, which, when done properly, can cool objects below 2 mK. Needless to say, this is not necessarily a simple task. So don't get your hopes up for buying yourself a desktop quantum computer next year to replace your aging Pentium.
