Max left us if anyone has any tips that would be great. We let him out and he never came home. HELP!
That's a bummer.
On the other hand maybe it's the call of the wild. If I know my disney stories I'd be willing to bet a bird flew up to the window one day asking for max the cat. Turns out his wild father is in the fight for his life trying to rid the cat kingdom of the evil opossum overlord. Valiantly in the heat of battle he was mortally injured and now max must travel to a distant land to avenge his father and protect the cat kingdom. Once his epic journey is completed he'll return back to you like nothing ever happened. But every time you say something about how worthless or lazy he is you'll see a little twinkle in his eye and what looks like a grin as he recalls his harrowing adventures and how he protected the human and cat empire from the impending doom...
Don't give up. Walk the neighborhood and ask people. Was he used to going out? Would you call him to return? If so, call him every night. Go to the local shelters. Make signs. But most importantly, don't give up.
Monkey, our crazy female cat, was gone for 2 months. One evening, I was on a walk in the neighborhood and decided to call out for Monkey, and she responded. She was sitting on a fence about 1 block away. I picked her up and brought her home. She is still allowed to go outside because she has the call of the wild (big time!) and will drive us all crazy if she stays inside.
Don't give up!
Oh no! One thing I have read is that if you put up missing fliers, be sure to put REWARD at the top in big letters, perhaps followed by a dollar amount to get people's attention. It worked for our small dog that got lost a few years back - we got her back after 3 weeks.
Be sure to call TLAC every few days in case someone dropped him off there. Post something on craigslist - I see missing pet posts there quite often.
I hope he comes home soon!
By the way I hope you took my original post in the spirit it was intended. I hope you find him soon. Since he was born a wild cat it kinda reminded me of the disney movies I'd seen as a kid.
And then I lose my Liza today.
Motherfucking cars.
Oh no! Jerry, I'm so sorry :-(
There are few things worse than losing a pet before their time.
I am sorry for your loss, Valatan. You will always have the memories.

Do you feed him canned food? If you do, the sound of the electric can opener will probably have him running home
