Firefox 1.5 is out. Server logs reveal that over half of all Alkaline Earthlings use Firefox, well above par. Memo to the other half: WTF? Switch already!
Just a guess, but are you sure it's not your forums fault for being all ActiveX up in that piece? I think there are ActiveX extensions you can DL for Firefox.
So you don't have any problems with firefox and other websites or services? Quite a few of the sites I visit don't have full FF functionality or there are little annoying quirks. I'm not going to quit FF, because I dislike IE a lot more, but it's not the worlds perfect browser by any stretch of the imagination.
When I'm on campus using the wireless connection there's this little box thing that pops up to keep you connected. Well, for some reason the thing will spaz out every once in a while demanding focus every second or so. That kind of shit's annoying.
I'm by no means an expert, which is why my previous response was couched as a guess.
I have some problems with Firefox with some sites, but I usually assume it is because the sites are designed with IE-only features like ActiveX. Additionally, I've had problems with sites that use pop-ups for some functionality, but it is easy enough to disable the pop-up blocker for that site. I assume I would have the same problems if I were using an external pop-up blocker with IE.
I like it for the most part but people tend to hype the shit out of it.
Does anyone know a good way of transfering bookmarks between a laptop and desktop so I can keep them up to date with each other? With IE there's a folder with little shortcuts that I can move around like files but with FF it's just an html file with all the links. Problem is that when I import files from the desktop bookmarks to the laptop bookmarks I get duplicates for the non-new stuff. Any simple way around this?
one way out: del.icio.us
you got a point there brother. speaking of brothers , there are some twins in my class and those fuckers have the exact same handwriting. It's crazy! Oh, and they write with opposite hands too.
and they cheat like hell, too! you wouldn't believe it.
Bookmark Sync extension seems to be highly regarded, though you may need to wait a bit before using it with 1.5.
Hmmm, sounds good flip.
If a twin cheats is that really cheating? I mean they are friggin' clones of each other, doesn't that mean anything? I mean, if one of them rapes a chick and they get a DNA sample and they accuse the other one of the crime, there's no way out for him. Why not the same treatment here?
flip, while you're at it do you know of any free file mirroring applications I could use to keep my files synch'd?
I use rsync, a standard unix tool and part of the cygwin distribution. I've recently heard good things about the MS Sync Toy, one of the Microsoft Power Toys. If you try it out lemme know how it goes.
I'll try the sync toy, sounds cool.

Yeah, 1.5. Still craps out on quite a few sites and I have no idea why the motherfucker won't let me login to centexkiteboarding forums. Not perfect by a longshot.
