I watched part of the inaugural parade yesterday while I was at the gym (it was on every channel). They kept talking about the crowds of people that were gathered to witness the historic event despite the cold weather, but every time they showed the bleachers they were half-empty. I saw a group of people holding an A&M flag and I was momentarily proud of being a Longhorn*, until the reporters mentioned that the Longhorn band was actually marching in the parade. Ugh! I did also see a really big lady wearing an even bigger floor length fur. And it sure didn't look like faux fur. Double ugh!

So did y'all get the day off to watch the parade?? Just kidding. I'll stop being cynical.

I’m actually pretty proud of being a Longhorn and going to the University of TEXAS, except when it comes to things like this and football (sorry JSK). You have to remember I’m from California.

Oh, at some point in time someone threw a piece of fruit at the motorcade and it only hit one of the SS cars, but it did cause the procession to speed up for a few seconds.

That was funny.
