Hello.

Thank you for listening to The Javelina's Aethermix. I hope that you found it to be most Radtastic. The name of the mix, "D to D", indicates that this work consists entirely of things that I have on CD. Originally the mix was to be named "A to D" to signify that all of the songs came straight off beautiful vinyl LP records. But myriad technical problems got in the way of that -- mainly that the preamp for my record player broke.

(Record players that use a crystal pickup on the needle require a special preamp that is seperate from the 'normal' stereo preamp that you may be used to. This preamp takes the millivolt signal from the crystal pickup and converts it to about a volt. Yes, I could run without it and just send the signal directly into the amp, but then there's no bass and it sounds like total crap. If you have a record player that doesn't need a seperate preamp, then it has a magnetic pickup.) So that didn't happen. But it might someday as soon as I get around to fixing the preamp.

Anyway, here's the track listing with the source albums. If you'd like to borrow any of the albums, just ask.

Why did I choose these songs? These are songs I enjoy. Some I like b/c they have a good beat, or are funny, or weird. Others are there b/c I like that artists work and this just happens to be the only track I have of theres on CD (ie: Philip Glass -> Company 1-4 by Kronos Quartet). I tried to make little groups of tracks. There's the Satan-inspired rock tracks. Tracks about Sex. Some country-esque tracks. Some get-up-and-move tracks. Some "classical" tracks. You get the idea.
